Vision

Consider what vision coverage has to offer. It provides access to the largest national network of providers through VSP, benefits to help cover frames and lenses, discounts and more.

Dow offers two plans so you can choose what's right for you (see vision plan summary). One includes VSP EasyOptions, a flexible benefit that lets you select a valuable upgrade to your coverage. Note: Eligibility for VSP with EasyOptions and other terms may vary for employees who are subject to a collective bargaining agreement.

In addition to comprehensive vision coverage, you also have access to other discounts through VSP:

  • Other services and savings ― Access to in-network savings on desired brands through eyeconic.com, discounts for costs over your allowance, savings on additional glasses, sunglasses and laser vision correction, routine retinal screening ($39 copay applies), and essential medical eye care ($20 copay applies).
  • Hearing aid discounts ― TruHearing makes hearing aids affordable through exclusive savings to all VSP Vision Care members. As a VSP member, take advantage of discounts on hearing aids, plus one year of follow-up visits for fittings and adjustments, free hearing aid batteries and more. Learn more.

Other considerations

Decide if additional vision coverage is right for you. Remember that coverage for an eye exam is available through Dow Aetna medical plans if you choose not to enroll in the VSP vision care option. As you consider whether or not to enroll, ask yourself:

  • How much vision coverage do I need?
  • Does anyone in my family wear glasses or contact lenses?
  • Does anyone in my family have special eye care needs (e.g., glaucoma)?
